Ashes at Edgbaston

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be given tickets to see day one of the second test between Australia and England at Edgbaston.

What an amazing day of cricket!!! The day started badly for Australia with Glen McGrath getting injured in the warm up as he jumped up for a rugby ball and landed badly on a cricket ball and twisted his ankle - shame!!!!

Trescothick powered to 90 and Straus supported him by getting 48 but the best cricket of the day was when Pietersen and Flintoff came together. 6's and 4's were a common sight and eventually Pietersen went for 71 from 76 balls and Flintoff for 68 from 62 balls. It was a great sight to see Warne and Lee being hit to every part of the ground whilst chants of Easy, Easy, Easy rang out around Edgbaston.

England were all out for 407 before rain stopped play
