Adelaide a last

Well we've finally arrived in Adelaide and have moved into our new on arrival accommodation which SA Immigration have provided us for up to 3 months.

It's very basic but it's in an excellent location - a suburb called Glandore
We have a tram stop just a stones throw away and it takes 10 mins to get into the city and 10 mins to the beach at Glenelg

It is very very quiet and has a village like atmosphere and the neighbours have been very welcoming

Glenelg has a superb beach and a marina where we saw dolphins playing in amongst the boats and yachts

We've now got to go and get all the boring stuff done as well as try and find jobs!!!

As always I've posted more photos up at http://www.flickr.com/mickpell

Robe to Adelaide

Robe to Adelaide - 337km
cloudy and about 22 degrees

This was the final leg of our trip into our new home city of Adelaide

We stopped just outside of Robe at the Mt Benson wine region and first went to the wine centre where we were met by a very grumpy woman who obviously thought we were not wine officiandos!!!

So we quickly moved onto the Wangolina winery where we met the lovely owners mum who gave us the low down on what to expect in Adelaide - I think she could have kept talking for hours but luckily there were only a handful of wines to taste!!

Cape Jaffa was the next winery where they had a much wider range and we tasted the lot! 11 wines in total and we bought a few bottles
The merlot being my fave

The final stop before Adelaide was a town called Kingston which has a claim to fame as having a huge lobster by the side if the road - I thought I'd had too much wine when we saw this.....

We finaly arrived into Adelaide in the middle of the afternoon whilst the Clipsal 500 motor race was taking place so town was a bit hectic.

We'll be picking the keys up to our new place tomorrow and looking forward to settling down in Adelaide
So much to do in the next few days!!!
