Weekend at the zoos
A day at Monarto Zoo and a day at Adelaide Zoo
On Saturday we drove over to Monarto Zoo to see the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra play Symphony in the Serengeti where they were joined by Australia's answer to Susan Boyle - Mark Vincent
A few wines, nibbles and lots of cheese were the order of the day before chilling out listening to the orchestra play their tunes
Santa even made an entrance at the end to the tune of Santa Claus is coming home to town
This was followed today by my works Christmas picnic at the zoo where the big event was getting to see Adelaide's newest arrivals - Wang Wang and Funi the giant pandas
The pandas are still in quarantine so they couldn't come out into their outdoor areas which was a bit of a pity as 100's of people crammed in to try to get a good view of them sleeping!!!
Very cute and we can't wait til next year when they will be out of quarantine and hopefully awake and playing outside
